A TEENAGER with a record of assaulting emergency workers has now attacked a police officer.
Katie Coombe, 18, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to committing the latest offence in Bridgwater on April 15 when she appeared at Taunton Magistrates’ Court.
She was ordered to pay her victim £150 compensation.
At the same hearing, Coombe admitted damaging a vehicle in Bridgwater on October 15 last year, for which was ordered to pay £30 compensation.
The offences were committed while Coombe was the subject of a community order imposed in January of this year for two counts of assaulting an emergency worker and one of criminal damage.
She received a community order to cover all the offences.
MICHAEL Alec Davis, 38, of Brook Close, Minehead, was given a 12-month conditional discharge after pleading guilty to damaging plastic perspex at the town’s Coaster Coffee, using threatening or abusive words or behaviour and failing to surrender to custody.
He was ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge. He was fined £10 for failing to comply with a supervision requirement imposed following his release from prison.
MICHAEL Mallett, 23, of St Audries Close, Stogursey, received a 12-month conditional discharge after admitting a count of assault by beating in Bridgwater on October 25 last year.
He must pay a £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
A BISHOPS Lydeard man admitted assaulting a police officer in the exercise of his functions in Taunton on April 14.
Joshua Stephen Dodds, 26, of Greenway, was handed a community order and told to pay his victim £200 compensation.
Dodds also admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour in the county town on the same day, for which he received no further penalty.
He was also subjected to the fresh community order as the offences were in breach of a previous order imposed for assault and possession of a knife.
