Man charged with murder after man, 59, dies on A38

Police have charged a man following a death on the A38 near St Budeaux in Plymouth on Thursday night (May 12). Police were called to the scene following a “serious” crash involving a lorry and motorbike on the eastbound on-slip at 8.40pm.
A 59-year-old man who was riding a black Kawasaki motorbike was declared dead at the scene. He has now been formally identified as David Crawford from Ivybridge, reports PlymouthLive.
Following an investigation, police have charged a man in connection to this matter. Benjamin Parry, 42, from Devonport, Plymouth, has been charged with murder. He has been held in remand and is due before Plymouth Magistrates Court this morning (May 14).
A road in Devonport was cordoned off on Thursday night. Part of New Passage Hill, near Marlborough Street, was shut off by officers from Devon and Cornwall Police.
The closure on the A38 remained in place overnight whilst police carried out their investigations and was lifted at around 10am on Friday (May 13).
