Fears grow for missing girl, 13, last seen near Somerset border

Police have urged the public to help them locate a missing teenage girl who was last seen in her hometown of Sherborne.

Rebekah Saunders, aged 13, was last seen leaving her home in the town at around 8.30pm on Friday, May 13.

Rebekah is described as white, five feet four inches tall and of medium build with very long black hair. She was wearing a school sweatshirt, white polo shirt and black trousers. Rebekah normally wears glasses.

Inspector Tracy Santoni, of Dorset Police, said: “We are concerned for Rebekah’s welfare and are keen to find her as soon as we can, so we can check that she is all right. I would urge anyone who has information as to her whereabouts, or who has seen a teenage girl matching the description given, to please contact us immediately.

“I would also like to make a direct appeal to Rebekah if you see this – please make contact with us or your family and let us know where you are as we all just want to make sure that you are safe.”

Dorset Police has asked anyone with information or knowledge as to Rebekah’s whereabouts to contact www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident number 13:761.
