Beach toilets re-open

Following reports of unsanitary and upsetting behaviour, Sedgemoor District council have worked with Burnham Portable Toilet Hire to get the public facilities open after their winter closure, inline with safety guidance at Brean Beach.

Local Councillors talked through the timing of the beach re-opening this week and agreed that the beach won’t re-open to vehicles before July 4th at the earliest.

Car parking in Brean continues to be available at the National Trust car park, the Bird Garden and on the fields of a nearby camp site. If you do visit the beach, you’re reminded to observe social distancing and be mindful that safety services are limited, and to heed the advice from the Coastguard
