Antisocial Behaviour powers could vanish

Written by on October 15, 2020

Orders to tackle antisocial behaviour – which have been in place in Bridgwater, Burnham and Highbridge for the last three years – could be scrapped later.

Sedgemoor District councillors are voting on whether to renew them – so they’re only in place for large events like Bridgwater Fair and Carnival. It comes after local police said there had been zero prosecutions made through the order – and that there were better options available to try and prevent antisocial behaviour.
